In this case, the standard corporate structure does not apply.
Just because they work virtually does not mean they can work longer hours than usual and do everything. Each team member of VA needs to have a clear and precise job position and you need to make sure they have the proper training and guidance to succeed with their day-to-day tasks.
Leaders lead by creating a common vision and goal for the team to work towards. Inspiration and motivation cannot be bought. Simply paying someone’s salary does not mean that they will be loyal to you or even motivated to do their jobs.
